Eric Kaplan became a valued member of the Bluestein Law Firm team in February 2017. His extensive knowledge and experience in estate planning have highly qualified him to focus on the lifetime protection of each client’s estate. For individuals with moderate to high net worth, he can provide services that includes offshore, conventional domestic, and international estate planning.

Eric has written extensively and been published in the areas of estate planning, asset protection, and integrated estate planning. He was a contributing author to the third edition of Asset Protection Planning Guide, published by CCH Incorporated, after having significantly contributed to its second edition as well. His other published works can be found in Estate Planning, Insights and Strategies; Journal of Practical Estate Planning; Journal of Financial Planning; and Journal of International Taxation.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in U.S. history in 1995 from State University of New York at Albany, Eric gained his Juris Doctor degree in 1998 from Quinnipiac University School of Law and then moved to Colorado to practice. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association as well as the Denver Bar Association.

Eric was born in New York City and grew up on Long Island. For the past 19 years he has been a happy Coloradan. He and his wife Sheryl are parents of two sons, David and Michael. They enjoy travel and all the beauty and activities that Colorado has to offer.
